Welcome to SQ World

What is SQ ?

SQ stands for Software Quality. The idea of building this website comes from the need to publish the translation of Robert Charette's article 'Why Software Fails' to Catalan. In the future we will publish more translations of software engineering articles, and more languages will be supported, especially french and spanish.

About translations

The translations you will find in this website are human translations. This means that no translation engine like Google's is used, except as a tool for the person who translates the articles. If you find errors or mistakes in the translations, please don't hesitate to contact us. Or if you want to submit a missing translation your help will be welcome. This website starts in Catalan and English, but we aim to also publish articles in Spanish and French.

The first article

This first article is becoming a classical of Software Engineering. Robert Charette wrote 'Why Software Fails' article in 2005. The author shows software as a world of risk and danger if we don't include risk as a variable to manage. Risk management is one of the Software Engineering disciplines less used in practice and this is a big mistake as the examples in the article illustrates.
